Welcome to the Stettler Genealogy Club Web Site
Welcome to the Stettler Genealogy Club's page. We are for everyone in East Central Alberta.
Our club is made up of people with the genealogy bug who range from novice to expert researchers and everywhere in between. Our members bring many different outlooks to our monthly meetings. The sharing of research methods has helped others in the group past the proverbial brick wall and has made a difference to the way we go about looking for our own family histories.
Stettler is located in Central Alberta, Canada, about 100 km east of Red Deer and Lacombe. The area was settled in the mid to late 19th century by people from many overseas communities. Many people in the Stettler area have German, Swiss, Estonian, British and American backgrounds, just to name a few.
If we can help you in any way, through the use of our web links or by answering a question, please contact one of us and we'll give it our best shot. Hope you enjoy our page.
